Well, all that praying certainly didn’t prevent Boy Blunder And The Plunderers from inflicting plenty of harm. More harm than anyone could imagine. So much harm that I’ve had to re-think the 37th President – you see, I never thought I’d see the day I’d miss Richard Nixon. I simply didn’t think that was possible.

Fortunately, in 47 days it will be January 20th, 2009 – The End Of An Error.

As apposed to, say, “tragic”?

That’s what Bush The Lesser said two years ago, to the day. This one is just in, today:

KANDAHAR AIRFIELD, Afghanistan – Three Canadian soldiers were killed and one was seriously injured early Wednesday morning when their convoy hit an improvised explosive device on the main highway outside Kandahar City.

Another Canadian soldier was wounded in the strike and was transported to hospital, where he is listed as being in serious but stable condition.

There was a daylong embargo on the news while the families of the three soldiers were contacted. The news was announced Thursday morning by Brig.-Gen. Denis Thompson, Commander of Task Force Kandahar.

The attack, which brings to 93 the total number of Canadian soldiers killed while serving in Afghanistan, occurred at 10:30 a.m. local time in Zhari district, about 40 kilometres west of Kandahar Airfield.

One of the soldiers was identified as Sgt. Shawn Eades, but the names of the other two soldiers who died in the attack have been withheld for now at the request of the families. It is Canadian Forces policy not to release the names of injured soldiers.

The three slain soldiers were combat engineers with 12 Field Squadron, 1 Combat Engineer Regiment, which is based out of Edmonton. While in Kandahar, they were attached to the 2nd Battalion, Princess Patricia’s Canadian Light Infantry battle group.

Insurgents routinely use IED attacks along the dangerous strip of highway outside of Kandahar, and across the country, as a means of ambushing NATO and International Security Assistance Forces. (emphasis added)

Supply convoys and patrols are commonly targeted in such attacks, making travel by land not only difficult, but dangerous.

A Canadian diplomat and two aid workers have also been killed since Canada’s military and developmental assistance mission in that war-torn country began in 2002. Including the aid workers – Jacqueline Kirk of Outremont, Que, and Shirley Case from Williams Lake, B.C., who were ambushed on Aug. 13 – seven Canadians have died in Afghanistan this month alone. Under the great dome of the Napoleonic institution rested 10 identical coffins bearing the bodies of the soldiers, whose deaths mark the largest single loss of life for any of the international forces engaged in combat in Afghanistan in more than three years.

The solemn ceremony is an effort to soothe not just grieving families, but appease an increasingly wary nation at war, the CBC’s David Common reported.

A majority of the French are opposed to the mission in Afghanistan, and the opposition Socialists are demanding a parliamentary committee meet to examine this week’s battle.(more at CBCnews.ca)

Ladies and Gentlemen, that Al queda “suiciders” are still occuring in Iraq; that soldiers are still dying from IEDs in Afghanistan; that soldiers are dying as insurgents attack coalition fortifications; is certainly not “spectacular”.

What will be spectacular, is Boy Blunder And The Plunderers being removed from power in 151 days, which will be The End Of An Error.

OK, it’s not really a Bushism, but: it’s (cheney)in’ stupid, on several levels. And by saying it, on national TV, T-Paw is showing that he’s either in over his head because he doesn’t know what he’s talking about, or he’s showing he’d be a willing and pliable tool for those who would make Bushy McSame king president. Of course, “both” is a distinct probablity, also.

Think about it: under the US Constitution, civilian leadership determines natonal interests and sets foreign policy, not the military, and certainly not a theater commander, such as General Petraeus. And for those that actually believing in following the law, which, of course, excludes bootlickin’ republiCons, Title 10 of the U.S. Code clearly states that it’s the Joint Chiefs of Staff that advises The President in formation of policy, NOT theater commanders.

Clearly, General Petraeus is not authorized, nor is any General, to determine America’s national interests nor create foreign policy. Furthermore, did General Petraeus actually say what Gov. Pawlenty claimed General Petaeus said?

Of course not. Which is why January 21st, 2009 would be The Beginning Of A New Error if Bushy McSame assumes the office of the Presidency – especially if Gov. Pawlenty is part of the ticket.

Well, in Dumbya’s defense, he’s regular. Dumbya just pops these things out, and often, there’s continuity among them. Of course, they often don’t make sense, unless you’re a member of Boy Blunder’s Plunderers. For them, what Boy Blunder says, and does, can make a lot of cents sense – and dollars, too. That said, it is amazing that Bush The Lesser would actually consider a cell deal vampire busting as a legitimate method for conserving energy, especially since his pal, Bushy McSame, mocks a different kind of energy conservation tool. Amazing, isn’t it? Boy Blunder actually almost grasps a difficult concept, yet Bushy McSame rejects the time-tested and simple step everyone else gets.

Thankfully, in 158 days Boy Blunder And The Plunderers will all be gone – signifying The End Of An Error.

And God help us if in 159 days Bushy McSame is sworn in, signifying The Beginning Of A New Error.

Hard to believe that the Supreme Court appointed Dumbya, when Dumbya obviously didn’t (and, for that matter, still doesn’t) have a clue about how government is actually supposed to function. The misAdministration Of Bush The Lesser is the epitome of “Republicans run on the platform “Government doesn’t work”; then they get elected and prove it.”

Another example of Boy Blunder demonstrating his disdain for the Rule Of Law was the nomination of Harriet Miers to the Supreme court; an appointment that managed to offend usually unoffendable Republican Senators.

Boy Blunder also demonstrated his disdain for the Rule Of Law with his reliance on Alberto Gonzales’s legal insanity guidance. Gonzo’s gonzo approach to law also caused some Republican Senators – especially Senator Arlen Specter – to become offended. For one example, watch and listen here:

Unfortunately, these Republicans couldn’t manage to become anything more than offended. It’s a shame they couldn’t manage to actually “do something” to prevent Boy Blunder And The Plunderers from running roughshod over The Rule Of Law and our Constitution.

Some Law Schools were offended enough, that they cancelled ‘Berto Gonzo’s scheduled addresses, and scheduled someone else. Here’s once such instance, that’s worth the read.

(kinda true…) And I decided to leave him in place, just for the sake of continuity.(BIG-TIME WHOPPER!!!) And that’s when I first got to know Ken, and worked with Ken, and he supported my candidacy.(BIG-TIME WHOPPER!!!!)This is — what anybody’s going to find, if — is that this administration will fully investigate issues such as the Enron bankruptcy, to make sure we can learn from the past, and make sure that workers are protected.”(ROFLMAO!!!!!)

Well, first let me say, that it’s hard (“it’s hard work, to work hard, to be hard at work, when you’re workin’ hard”) to find a Bushism in history, on today’s date, during the summer doldrums, such as today, in August. So, we’ll go with a January Bushism, for today’s date, August 7th.

Most other dates? No problemo; Dumbya’s got tons of ‘em. But during the “summer dumbdoldrums? Not so much. Let’s look at why!

And the “why” is, because this great nation, America, has never – NEVER – seen such a slacker as George aWol Bush, as President. There’s very few “Adventures In BushSpeak” during these weeks, these summer doldrums, because The Texas Fence Post Turtle usually is hiding from working somewhere other than The Oval Office during these summer months, like the bars around his ranch The Texas Slack White House.

Whatever.

The simple fact is, anyone that believes what Boy Blunder said about Kenny-Boy Lay, above, is a candidate to fall for a Florida Swamp Scandal potential investor in Florida “waterfront” real estate.

Oh – and they’re also liable to believe, just like many did, that the rolling California blackouts of 2004 was the fault of Democratic Party leadership – just as today’s republiCons would like you to believe today’s $4.00+ a gallon gas, is San Fran Nan’s fault. Or, that Obama thinks it can be solved with a tire-guage.

Yeah, “right”. They also happen to believe Richard Milhous was a “great American”, and Spiro T. wasn’t a crook. But, I digress. What it comes down to, is this:

Kenny-Boy,now that you’re dead, republiCons claim they hardly knew ya. But, they love to pizz on your grave, when it suits their political needs. Shoot, Boy Blunder And The Plunderers done pizzed on ya, while you were still alive. But, there’s no honor among Dumbya’s kind of thieves.

Which, of course, not only explains why reasonable people can no longer reasonably trust Republicans to tell the truth; it also explains why reasonable people reasonably wonder if the $4.00+ a gallon isn’t today’s Kennny-Boy gouging the American Consumer.
