Williams: A lot of people have seen in this series of speeches you’re giving on Iraq, a movement in your position. They call it an acknowledgement that perhaps the mission has not gone as it was originally planned — three points: That the U.S. would be welcomed as liberators, that General Shinsecki, when he said this would take hundreds of thousands of troops in his farewell speech, might have been right. And third, that it wasn’t a self-sustaining war in terms of the oil revenue. Do you concede those three points might not have gone as planned?

Bush The Lesser: Review them with me again.

Williams: Number one — that we’d be welcomed as liberators?

Bush The Lesser: I think we are welcomed. But it was not a peaceful welcome. — George orWell Bush, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, December 12th, 2005

In 39 days, it will be January 20th, 2009 – The End Of An Error.

“The solution to Iraq — an Iraq that can govern itself, sustain itself and defend itself — is more than a military mission. Precisely the reason why I sent more troops into Baghdad.” — George orWell Bush, Washington, D.C., April 3, 2007 (The White House)

Just another “up is down, war is peace” Orwellian Bushism we’ve come to expect from Boy Blunder. What is disturbing, but predictable, are the “McCain Moments” coming out of the Bushy McSame Campaign.

While clearly January 20th, 2009 will be The End Of An Error, if Bushy McSame is elected January 21st, 2009 will be The Start Of Another.

“I think that the vice president is a person reflecting a half-glass-full mentality.” — George aWol Bush, interview on National Public Radio, Jan. 29, 2007

Which, of course, is half a glass fuller than Boy Blunder’s mentality; and which, of course, explains once again why January 20th, 2009 will be The End Of An Error.

T Minus 153 – Dumbya’s Diplomacy

On August 19, 2008, in Uncategorized, by tommy

Q Thank you, Mr. President. Do you think that Russia is applying undue pressure and threats to accomplish its goals at NATO on missile defense and stopping the Membership Action Plans of Ukraine and Georgia? And President Yushchenko, what do you think of Moscow’s tactics?

President Dumbya: Just because there was a bunch of, you know, Soviet-era flags in the street yesterday doesn’t — you shouldn’t read anything into that. I — look, this is an interesting debate that’s taking place, and it’s — you know, as every nation has told me, Russia will not have a veto over what happens in Bucharest, and I take their word for it. And that’s the right policy to have. – Kyiv, Ukraine, April 1st, 2008(White House)

Lately, it’s not “Soviet-era flags in the street” — it’s RUSSIAN TANKS. And it’s fitting that Boy Blunder uttered this tripe on April Fools Day — no greater of a fool has entered the White House than The Texas Fence Post Turtle. Fortunately there’s only 153 days until Dumbya exits literally and figurtively for good, as January 20th, 2009 will be The End Of An Error.

“One of the interesting initiatives we’ve taken in Washington, D.C., is we’ve got these vampire-busting devices. A vampire is a – a cell deal you can plug in the wall to charge your cell phone.” – George aWol Bush, Denver, Aug. 14, 2001

Say, Boy Blunder? You’re misunderestimating, again!!!

That said, it is amazing that Bush The Lesser would actually consider a cell deal vampire busting as a legitimate method for conserving energy, especially since his pal, Bushy McSame, mocks a different kind of energy conservation tool. Amazing, isn’t it? Boy Blunder actually almost grasps a difficult concept, yet Bushy McSame rejects the time-tested and simple step everyone else gets.

Thankfully, in 158 days Boy Blunder And The Plunderers will all be gone – signifying The End Of An Error.

And God help us if in 159 days Bushy McSame is sworn in, signifying The Beginning Of A New Error.

Then again, probably not as today’s Bushism is (sadly) typical; there’s a trove to choose from. But as noted yesterday, not so much during the summer, when Boy Blunder takes the bulk of his many, Many, MANY Vacations – at least 70 to Crawford, Texas alone. Anyway, The Texas Fence Post Turtle gave this one on this date 5 years ago from Crawford:

“And that’s just the nature of democracy. Sometimes pure politics enters into the rhetoric.” - George aWol Bush, Crawford, Texas, Aug. 8, 2003

Can’t make that up, folks. And you can’t make up that January 20th, 2009 will be The End Of An Extended Vacation Error.

And on today’s Adventure in BushSpeak, we got YouTube so you can watch and listen to it, too!!! How cool is THAT??!? OK, here’s the deal: Bush The Lesser is asked a question, and here’s his response:

“Tribal sovereignty means that; it’s sovereign. I mean, you’re a — you’ve been given sovereignty, and you’re viewed as a sovereign entity. And therefore the relationship between the federal government and tribes is one between sovereign entities.” — George orWell Bush, speaking to minority journalists, Washington, D.C., Aug. 6, 2004

166 days left, until January 20th, 2009 – The End Of An Error.
