Today’s a Triple Dose Of Dumbya Day!
“The trial lawyers are very politically powerful. But here in Texas we took them on and got some good medical malpractice.”
“There may be some tough times here in America. But this country has gone through tough times before, and we’re going to do it again.”
“I promise you I will listen to what has been said here, even though I wasn’t here.”
– George aWol Bush, speaking at the President’s Economic Forum in Waco, Texas, Aug. 13, 2002
Well, let’s toss in another one – Dumbya was on a roll….
“Tommy (Thompson) is a good listener, and he’s a pretty good actor, too.” -George aWol Bush, apparently confusing his Health and Human Services secretary with Sen. Fred Thompson, Waco, Texas, Aug. 13, 2002
Yes, Boy Blunder was on a roll, that day in Waco. He was on a roll before, and since, too. But in 159 days, this misAdministration will be in the history books – as will the Adventures In BushSpeak, and January 20th, 2009 will be The End Of An Error.

Then again, probably not as today’s Bushism is (sadly) typical; there’s a trove to choose from. But as noted yesterday, not so much during the summer, when Boy Blunder takes the bulk of his many, Many, MANY Vacations – at least 70 to Crawford, Texas alone. Anyway, The Texas Fence Post Turtle gave this one on this date 5 years ago from Crawford:
“And that’s just the nature of democracy. Sometimes pure politics enters into the rhetoric.” - George aWol Bush, Crawford, Texas, Aug. 8, 2003
Can’t make that up, folks. And you can’t make up that January 20th, 2009 will be The End Of An Extended Vacation Error.

From the U.S. Government’s official, Oval Office website:
- George aWol Bush: “Well, first of all, Ken Lay is a supporter.(so far, true….but: that’s only nine words….) And I got to know Ken Lay when he was the head of the — what they call the Governor’s Business Council in Texas.(BIG-TIME WHOPPER!) He was a supporter of Ann Richards in my run in 1994.(ANOTHER BIG-TIME WHOPPER!!)And she had named him the head of the Governor’s Business Council. (kinda true…) And I decided to leave him in place, just for the sake of continuity.(BIG-TIME WHOPPER!!!) And that’s when I first got to know Ken, and worked with Ken, and he supported my candidacy.(BIG-TIME WHOPPER!!!!)This is — what anybody’s going to find, if — is that this administration will fully investigate issues such as the Enron bankruptcy, to make sure we can learn from the past, and make sure that workers are protected.”(ROFLMAO!!!!!)
Well, first let me say, that it’s hard (“it’s hard work, to work hard, to be hard at work, when you’re workin’ hard”) to find a Bushism in history, on today’s date, during the summer doldrums, such as today, in August. So, we’ll go with a January Bushism, for today’s date, August 7th.
Most other dates? No problemo; Dumbya’s got tons of ‘em. But during the “summer dumbdoldrums? Not so much. Let’s look at why!
And the “why” is, because this great nation, America, has never – NEVER – seen such a slacker as George aWol Bush, as President. There’s very few “Adventures In BushSpeak” during these weeks, these summer doldrums, because The Texas Fence Post Turtle usually is hiding from working somewhere other than The Oval Office during these summer months, like the bars around his ranch The Texas Slack White House.
Whatever.
The simple fact is, anyone that believes what Boy Blunder said about Kenny-Boy Lay, above, is a candidate to fall for a Florida Swamp Scandal potential investor in Florida “waterfront” real estate.
Oh – and they’re also liable to believe, just like many did, that the rolling California blackouts of 2004 was the fault of Democratic Party leadership – just as today’s republiCons would like you to believe today’s $4.00+ a gallon gas, is San Fran Nan’s fault. Or, that Obama thinks it can be solved with a tire-guage.
Yeah, “right”. They also happen to believe Richard Milhous was a “great American”, and Spiro T. wasn’t a crook. But, I digress. What it comes down to, is this:
Kenny-Boy,now that you’re dead, republiCons claim they hardly knew ya. But, they love to pizz on your grave, when it suits their political needs. Shoot, Boy Blunder And The Plunderers done pizzed on ya, while you were still alive. But, there’s no honor among Dumbya’s kind of thieves.
Which, of course, not only explains why reasonable people can no longer reasonably trust Republicans to tell the truth; it also explains why reasonable people reasonably wonder if the $4.00+ a gallon isn’t today’s Kennny-Boy gouging the American Consumer.
Oh – and it also explains why January 20th, 2009, will be The End Of An Error.

“Our enemies are innovative and resourceful, and so are we. They never stop thinking about new ways to harm our country and our people, and neither do we.” — George aWol Bush, Washington, D.C., Aug. 5, 2004
And he wasn’t kidding. From the bait ‘n switch “War Of Choice” and The RumsFailed Doctrine of “War On The Cheap” to ‘Berto “Americans don’t got no steenkin’ Habeas Corpus” Gonzo to Monica Goodling and Kyle Sampson’s escapades, to John Ashcroft hiding Lady Liberty to “Clear Skies Initiative” to Paul “Give That Girl A RAISE!!!” Wolfowitz, to ChickenHawks, to The Plame Game to “Kenny-Boy, I hardly knew ya” to GannonGate to Armstrong Williams to…. well, how much time to you have? Suffice it to say that until the misAdministration of Boy Blunder And The Plunderers, I never thought I’d see the day that I’d miss Richard Milhous Nixon.
And I really never thought I’d see the day, that Spiro T. Agnew wasn’t the worst VPOTUS.
January 20th, 2009 – The End Of An Error – can’t arrive too soon.

Ladies and Gentlemen,
I had the honor and privilege of observing the 2008 Spring Awards Luncheon of the 420th Air Force ROTC Detachment at the University of Minnesota – Duluth today. And an honor and privilege it was, to break bread with our Future Defenders Of Freedom.
There are those that recognize the ol’ TwoPutter frequently refers to the Current Occupant Of The Oval Office by names such as Bush The Lesser and Boy Blunder, among others. These are the young men and women who will be defending my right, as an American, to do so.
Over 40 of these fine young Americans (along with family, friends, and supporters) gathered to celebrate the end of the year and recognize those who earned and deserve special recognition. Awards included Meritorious Service for outstanding performance for exemplary acts of achievement, Academic Honors for carrying a high GPA, and Physical Fitness (self explanatory). Community sponsored awards varied from the Veterans Of Foreign Wars, Military Order Of The Purple Heart, and American Legion to Daughters Of The American Revolution and Society of the War Of 1812 Award. Those chosen and honored displayed high academic achievement, and exceptional moral and ethical performance.
Above all, all understand they will be charged, upon commissioning as officers in the United States Air Force, to supporting and defending the United States Constitution – the document that allows me, a veteran and American citizen, to state without qualification (or fear!) that the ChickenHawk-In-Chief, George aWol Bush, should be impeached for high crimes and misdemeanors. This, these fine young ladies and gentlemen clearly understand. They know their duty is to follow orders while old folks and young folks use their constitutional rights – such as to peaceably assemble and petition our government for redress of grievances, among others. Theirs is not to question why; that’s the job of agitators such as I. And, hopefully, you.
Prior to the Presentation of Awards, Detachment 420 performed the POW MIA Ceremony. This is a ceremony that never fails to move me, and reinforces my remembrance of “There but by the Grace Of God, go I.”
To make this story short, in every Veterans Of Foreign Wars post, there is one special table. It is a small table, with special settings, and it represents those soldiers, sailors, airmen and marines who are Prisoners of War and/or Missing In Action. They cannot join us; we will not forget them. Their place is waiting for them upon their return.
I looked on YouTube for a performance similar to the ceremony I witnessed today. This ceremony recognizes the sacrifice some have paid; some are paying, and – unfortunately – the sacrifice some of those in Air Force ROTC Detachment 420 may someday pay. These young men and women willingly have volunteered to defend our country – defend our way of life – knowing that they may make the ultimate sacrifice of their lives; that they may make the sacrifice of becoming a POW or becoming MIA – and the ceremony some of them participated in today, the ceremony they all witnessed today, may someday be a ceremony for them.
Please take the time to witness the POW MIA Ceremony, very similar to the Ceremony performed in Duluth today, by linking here:
Ladies and Gentlemen, these fine young Americans deserve our respect, support, and admiration. They are America’s Future Defenders Of Freedom.
