In addition to talking about important news, we’ll take a break from politics to have an in-studio conversation with one of Minnesota’s Citizen-Soldiers – Major Rickert – which we feel is fitting as a tribute to those who have worn the uniform on this day after Memorial Day. Major Rickert will be talking, among other things, about the recent alert that as many as 2,700 fellow Minnesotans may be deployed to Iraq and Kuwait as that war winds down.
We’ll also be joined in-studio by candidate for congress in Minnesota’s 2nd District, Dan Powers.

Ladies and Gentlemen, yours truly – the ol’ TwoPutter – is Guest Hosting this afternoon’s Friday Edition of “Quick On The UpTake” from 5:00 to 6:00pm on AM-950 KTNF, The Voice of Minnesota. “Quick On The UpTake” Host Mike McIntee is busily preparing for the last Political Party State Convention; the IP Party is meeting in Bloomington tomorrow. I’ll be joined in studio by Spot from The Cucking Stool!
And, to no surprise, we’ll be talking about The State Supreme Court’s spanking of Gov. TBag for creating a problem by 1- signing the next biennium’s spending bills into law and then 2- vetoing the revenue bill to match “income” to said lawfully-enacted spending bills (“balance the budget”) and then 3- violating state law by unilaterally slashing spending on bills TBag just signed; which, of course, was 4- BEFORE the start of the next biennium.
Spot has several great posts over at The Cucking Stool on TBag getting spanked; you’ll want to listen in to Spot’s take on this! As always, call 952-946-6205 to join the conversation!
As always on Friday’s Edition of Quick On The UpTake, we’ll also be getting a call from Dane Smith from GrowthAndJustice.org.
And just because we can, we’ll be giving away one copy of “False Witness! The Michele Bachmann Story (Volume 1)“, to one lucky listener — courtesy of AM-950 KTNF sponsor Common Good Books – so, pay attention and call in when asked!!!
Tomorrow (Saturday, May 8th), the ol’ TwoPutter will be Guest Hosting Radio Cafe with Cathy Hauser from 2:00 to 3:00 pm on AM950 – KTNF. I’ll be joined in-studio by Dusty Trice!

The following quote is sure to be discussed, especially with the recent murder in Mankato:
“Children who are victims of failed personal responsibility are not my problem, nor are they the problem for our government.” — Majority Leader Tim Pawlenty, April 2001 – as quoted in the Aitkin Independent Newspaper (entire column available here)
And in honor of the recent release of “False Witness! The Michele Bachmann Story (Volume 3)“, we’ll be giving away one copy to one lucky listener — courtesy of AM-950 KTNF sponsor Common Good Books!!!

Ladies and Gentlemen, yours truly – the ol’ TwoPutter – is Hosting tonight’s Friday Edition of “Minnesota Matters” on AM-950 KTNF, The Voice of Minnesota for the final regularly scheduled time. The Minnesota Matters Show had a different host every weeknight, and it was fun while it lasted. Due to changes in the Weeknight Hosts’ personal schedules, AM 950 has decided to go with one Host for every night/all week, starting Monday. So, it’s back to the bench for pinch-hit/fill-in duty for me! Such is the bidness o’ radio… On tonight’s last regularly scheduled show, I’ll be joined in studio by MPP’s very own Big E and ace field reporter/analyst, Dusty Trice!
In addition to talking about breaking news, and absentee Gov. TBag getting caught with his hands in the cookie jar, we’ll be talking about New Media – including blogging and social media sites. Plus, we’ll be having a conversation with DFL Gubernatorial Candidate, Matt Entenza!
Oh – the “Secret Prize” for tonight’s show, courtesy of show sponsor Common Good Books, will be one copy of Bill Prendergast’s exceptional comic book: “False Witness! The Michele Bachmann Story (Volume 3)”!!!

Ladies and Gentlemen, yours truly – the ol’ TwoPutter – is Guest Hosting tonight’s Wednesday Edition of “Minnesota Matters” on AM-950 KTNF, The Voice of Minnesota. I’ll be joined in studio by ace field reporter and analyst, Dusty Trice!
In addition to talking about breaking news, and absentee Gov. TBag getting caught with his hands in the cookie jar, we’ll be talking again with Mike Tikkanen, author of “Invisible Children (The American cycle of abuse and its cost).” Mike Tikkanen is the founder of Kid’s At Risk Action Group (KARA), a non-profit devoted to protecting and advocating for the rights of abused children. If you are concerned about the least among us, and those that Mike advocates for – children – are just that, this is a show you won’t want to miss.
Especially because the following quote is sure to be discussed:
“Children who are victims of failed personal responsibility are not my problem, nor are they the problem for our government.” — Majority Leader Tim Pawlenty, April 2001 – as quoted in the Aitkin Independent Newspaper (entire column available here)

And in honor of the recent release of “False Witness! The Michele Bachmann Story (Volume 3)“, we’ll definitely play “False Or False Witness!” where one lucky caller will have to correctly identify if a quote I read was actually uttered by Michele Bachmann (answer “False Witness!”) or if yours truly, the ol’ TwoPutter, simply made it up (answer “false”). The fabulous prize awarded, courtesy of show sponsor Common Good Books, is one copy of Bill Prendergast’s exceptional comic book: “False Witness! The Michele Bachmann Story (Volume 3)”!!!
